  • Additional Lectures by Professor Arthur Mayger Hind
    • Under the auspices of the Division of the Fine Arts, Professor Arthur Mayger Hind, Charles Eliot Norton Professor during the academic year 1930-31, is giving a series of further lectures on "Early Italian Engravings and Woodcuts."
    • The remaining lectures in this series will be given as follows:

      • Nov. 25: Mantegna and North Italian Engraving
      • Dec. 11: Chiaroscuro Woodcut
  • Free Lectures at the Fogg Art Museum
    • A rare treat for art lovers is provided in the three series of lectures by Arthur Mayger Hind of the department of prints and drawings at the British Museum, who holds this year the Charles Eliot Norton professorship at Harvard University.
    • These lectures will be given in the large lecture hall of the Fogg Art Museum and will be open to the public.
  • Among the Museums
    • The Boston Museum of Fine Arts is open week days, except Mondays, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Special exhibitions include: Russian icons shown through the courtesy of the American-Russian Institute; Medieval and 15th century French decorative arts and a loan exhibition of Egyptian sculpture.
    • Free guidance through the galleries is as follows: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 2:30 p.m., and Sunday afternoons, 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. While there will be music Friday afternoons, there will be music Saturday afternoons.
  • A Russian in New England
    • The gallery of the New England Society of Contemporary Art has been extended to Nicolai Poliakoff, a young Russian painter living in New York, whose work is associated with Andrej Lihte whose academy is well known as a centre for followers of the school which has produced artists celebrated several times in Paris.
