volumes. One hundred and ninety-two photographs and other reproductions were acquired, all by gift. The total number is now 11,787. Eighty-two lantern slides were added, bringing the total collection of slides to 5,824.
PUBLICATIONS
A single issue of the Germanic Museum Bulletin was published during the year. It contained a detailed description of the Faber du Faur Library by Dr. Curt von Faber du Faur in order to acquaint American scholars with the contents of this collection.
GERMANIC MUSEUM ASSOCIATION
Notwithstanding the world situation, the contributions to the Germanic Museum Association remained about the same. Seven members were lost, but 13 new members joined the Association. The staff of the Museum wishes to take this opportunity to express its gratitude to the many people who, through their annual gifts, show that they recognize the importance of preserving and developing the old Germanic culture in spite of present politics and the war.
